Dr. Vance was born in New Orleans, LA. He grew up in Newton, MS, where he attended Newton High School. He now lives in Jackson, MS, with his wife, Martha Jo, and son, Gregory. He and his family are very active at First Baptist Church of Jackson, where Dr. Vance served as Deacon, Sunday School leader, and sings in the choir. He also volunteers at the Mission First Medical Clinic.
